Dental Implant Cost in Vancouver

A dental implant is recommended as a fixed and permanent solution to tooth loss. It is a versatile treatment that is effective in replacing a single missing tooth to a full set of missing teeth, depending on what your smile needs.
At Arbutus Station Dental, we follow the British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA) Fee Guide to determine the costs of our dental treatments. This ensures you pay a fair price for your dental implants. Typically, our traditional dental implant cost starts at $4,600. This can increase depending on the material for your crown and the need for other procedures, such as a graft or sinus lift.
A traditional dental implant comprises a single unit titanium post that is surgically placed in the bone and an artificial tooth crown placed on top of it. This is ideal for a single-tooth replacement. For a comprehensive treatment assessment specific to your needs, contact our dental team today. Concerned about discomfort? Are dental implants painful?

Understanding Dental Implant Prices
Dental implants are one of the options for teeth replacement. It is the most modern treatment that is considered to be the closest you can get to the look, feel, and function of the natural tooth. And because it is embedded into your bone, this is a permanent solution that can last you a lifetime.
Considering other alternatives, dental implants remain a superior choice because of their likeness to your natural tooth. Like your tooth root, a dental implant can support the bone and allow for bone regeneration. This helps support your lip and facial muscles for a more youthful appearance. The proper foundation also allows for optimal comfort during eating and biting. These are feats that other teeth replacement options do not offer. Each dental implant is custom to your smile. The crown that covers the post is bespoke to match the colour, shape, and size of your other teeth. If needed, it can also replace a few or a full set of missing teeth. The more implants you need to complete your smile, the higher the treatment cost.
Factors that Determine the Cost of a Dental Implant
- Crown Material: The crown to be placed on your single-tooth implant can vary depending on your choice of material. The most affordable option is a metal-porcelain crown. For pricing context, see our dental crown cost guide.
- Bone Graft: A dental implant relies on sufficient bone to ensure long-term success. If insufficient, a graft can be placed to enhance the bone density and improve your treatment outcome. This is assessed by our periodontist.
- Sinus Lifting: Another procedure that can be crucial to implant treatment is a sinus lift. This can be recommended for implants on the upper jaw that may hit and open the sinus area during surgery.
How Can I Pay for a Dental Implant?
- Personal Funds:Â We accept a variety of payment methods such as cash, personal cheques, debit, Mastercard, Visa, or AmEx.
- Insurance:Â Dental insurance can cover your dental implant expenses. But, it ultimately depends on your coverage. It is essential to review your policy to determine your limitations.
